Abstract:In the new era，China’s border security is showing a new trend of complexity and change，with challenges and opportunities coexisting. Affected by the turbulent international situation and intensified competition between major powers，the security situation around China has become increasingly unstable and uncertain. China’s relations with some neighboring countries have experienced ups and downs. Some security issues around China are still hot and hidden dangers are difficult to eliminate. These factors have made it more difficult for China to maintain security and stability in its surrounding areas. However，we must also note that China’s surrounding environment is generally stable in the new era. “Good-neighborly friendship” and “Cooperation with China” are still the mainstream trends between neighboring countries and China. China’s propositions and proposals for international order have been recognized by more and more countries. Not only that，as China continues to rise and its influence continues to expand，China’s ability to proactively shape the surrounding security environment is significantly increasing.
